Day 5 on the Middle Fork Salmon, Idaho July 08.

Sunny out, some patching clouds. We got up early to get Mary and Dean across the river to there plane shuttle, and we wanted to get going early.

Fairly good nights sleep. Full moon moved across the sky. It was a beautiful orange which blanked the surrounding hills in shade of mystery. It was bright but not like a glowing light bulb.

The first plane landed as we were preparing breakfast. It skimmed over us just yards from our heads.
